Mukuzani Koncho&Co
Mukuzani is one of Georgia's protected appellations. PDO status means the name on the label is a guarantee — this wine can only come from one specific place, made from one specific grape, following rules that have been in place for generations.
The grape is Saperavi grown in the Mukuzani microclimate, aged nine months in oak barrels, allowed to become fully itself.
What comes out is deep, serious, and dry. Dark fruit, leather, vanilla from the oak, a trace of earth. Tannins with purpose and patience. A wine that does not rush to show you everything at once. The kind of wine that opens slowly over an evening and is better in the last glass than the first.
This is Georgian winemaking at its most classical. No shortcuts, no adjustments, no concessions to easy drinking. Just a great grape from a protected place, nine months in barrel, doing what it has always done.
