Aleksandrouli Koncho&Co

Some wines need food, occasion, the right moment. Aleksandrouli needs none of that. Pour it and drink it. That is the whole instruction.

Aleksandrouli is one of Georgia's most charming grapes and one of its least known outside the country. It grows almost exclusively in the remote highlands of western Georgia. Wine lovers who know their Georgian classics will recognize it as one of the grapes behind Khvanchkara. Here it stands alone and tells a completely different story.

Light-bodied, soft, dry. The texture is closer to a fine Pinot Noir than anything you might expect from Georgia. Gentle red fruit, natural freshness, tannins so soft they almost disappear. Easy to drink, impossible to put down.

This is Tatiana's personal favorite in the portfolio. Not because it is the most complex or the most impressive. Because it is the most joyful. The wine you open on a Tuesday for no reason and finish before you meant to.

Dry. Light-bodied. Serve slightly chilled.
